Botifarra de Calaf, grilled

Botifarra is a fresh Catalan pork sausage, grilled over coals. Calaf is a town inland from Barcelona, in the Anoia, and it is known for its own.

Ours is lean pork and bacon, served with dried beans. Botifarra amb seques, the way it is eaten across Catalonia.

There is more Catalan cooking on this menu than it looks: pa amb tomàquet, the fideuà, the crema catalana and the torrija with ratafia sauce.
