Menú del día in the Gothic Quarter
Our set lunch changes every week: a starter, a main and a dessert, with bread and a drink, every day from 12.30 to 4 pm. An easy lunch in the centre of Barcelona, thirty metres from La Rambla.
This week's menú del día: 12 to 16 October
What is a menú del día?
The meaning is simple. A menú del día, the menu of the day, is the set lunch served in restaurants all over Spain: a starter, a main and a dessert at a fixed price. The dishes change with the seasons, which is the whole point of it, and ours changes every week.
What's included
For a fixed price you choose a starter, a main and a dessert from the day’s menu. Bread and a drink are included, either water, wine or a small draught beer, and a soft drink is €1 extra. It’s served Monday to Friday, from 12.30 to 4 pm.
Lunch in Barcelona, 30 metres from La Rambla
If you want to eat the way people in Barcelona do, lunch is the meal for it, and the menú del día is what a lot of them have. It’s also one of the easiest ways to get a cheap lunch in Barcelona without eating on the run, and we’re at Carrer de Santa Anna 8, thirty metres from La Rambla.
Around La RamblaCatalan cooking at midday, since 1929
We’ve served a menú del día for decades because it’s how we honour what we’ve always been: a neighbourhood restaurant in the middle of Barcelona, open to everyone. For almost a hundred years the same family has been feeding the people who live and work around here as well as those just passing through, and at lunchtime that’s still what we do.
